Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use this kit to produce a batch of the perfect home made sausage.
This project will yield strings of our Master Butcher David's favourite Old English Sausages. Superb for all occasions (breakfast, dinner and BBQ), these are simply tasty sausages, with a great base seasoning which you can use as it comes, or build on with your own herb and spice profiles. Will you keep it simple (like Dave told you), or will your creative spirit take over?
You just need to decide how many sausages you'd like, and whether you'll be sourcing the meat separately, or having some from our private stash.
The 2.5kg version of this project will make more than 5 packs of sausages (six normal sized sausages per pack), while the 5kg version will make 11 packs of sausages. You can freeze the sausages once you've made them if you like.
What's Included?
- Recipe card and instructions, for you to follow or adapt
- Natural sausage casings for 2.5kgs or 5kgs of sausage
- Old English seasoning and rusk for 2.5kgs or 5kgs of sausage mix
- Stainless steel hook(s) to hang the sausages from
- Delicious pork trim from our private stash, for 2.5kgs or 5kgs of sausage (or select 'Without Meat' and supply your own)
What's Not Included?
- A cupboard full of excess sausage making kit you'll never use up.
What Equipment is Needed?
- Mincer or grinder for the meat (if you don't have a mincer, let us know in your order notes and we can mince the meat for you, though we will then supply it frozen for freshness)
- Stuffer and nozzle for filling the sausages
Any Allergens?
- The seasoning mix and rusk contains gluten, celery and sulphites. If you'd like a gluten free version, just mention it in your order notes.
