We care deeply about every delivery we make. With co-founder Jo leading our shipping, and founder Alex our customer service, we keep everything in house so we can give you our best. Whether it's a gift, a treat or ingredients for a special dinner, we want it to be with you on time and in perfect condition.
Here's a guide to our shipping services.
If you'd like to order ahead of time and receive your delivery at a specific, later point, you can select your preferred date on the cart page. If you want immediate dispatch, there's no need to do this, as it's the default setting. But if you'd like to delay delivery for three days, a week or a couple of months, just pick your ideal delivery date in the cart and we'll dispatch in time for that. With the Christmas 2024 posting deadline imminent, we've switched this function off temporarily.
Owing to popular demand, we've added Special Delivery shipping on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December. So if you select this service and order before 3pm on Sunday, we will ship your order so it arrives on Christmas Eve. The deadline for 24 hour shipping is 5pm on Friday 20th December. This will ensure your parcel arrives on Saturday 21st December or Monday 23rd December, with Christmas Eve as a buffer. After these dates, please use our e-gift card products. Orders placed with standard shipping from Friday 20th December onwards will be delivered after Christmas.
Our dispatching days are Monday to Friday. Our deadline for same day dispatch is 1pm, so orders placed before 1pm every day will be dispatched same day. Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched on the next working day.
You can choose either 48 hour or 24 hour shipping. We ship via Royal Mail, who deliver Monday to Saturday, i.e. if you were to order before 1pm on a Friday and select 24 hour shipping, you should receive it on Saturday.
Orders over £40 are shipped free of charge on a 48 hour service, which you can also upgrade to 24 hour shipping by paying the cost difference.
Some products, including Taste of Bray Cured selections, Charcuterie Course Gift Cards and Boxed Subscription Gift Cards are dispatched in the blue gift boxes pictured on those product pages. Other items, including charcuterie board packs and hampers are dispatched in our recyclable brown boxes. In both cases, the product inside is beautifully presented and hand wrapped, with a greeting and recipes cards. If you'd like to add a blue gift box to any order, just add one to your basket.
Orders are protectively wrapped to reach you in ideal condition. Our charcuterie is stored at room temperature, so it doesn't need to be refrigerated in transit or on arrival. If you're away when your delivery arrives, the charcuterie will be fine when you get back, as long as you eat it prior to the use by date. Any cheese in your order will be packed with ice in a cold pack. Don't worry if the ice melts, it will still keep the cheese cool. Cheese is always shipped overnight, so please ensure you are in to receive your delivery, or that someone can receive it for you and refrigerate your cheese.
